Doodling journey // ft. Maggie!

Hey guys! A while ago me and Maggie from Maggies doodles wanted to do swapped guest posts, and I wrote her mine and that got up in April! And now we’ve finally continued the swap and now Maggie is appearing on my blog!

Maggie is a doodle artist, and shares that creativity through her blog!! Go check her out after reading this post, and give her a follow!

So without further ado, here is Maggie!

Hi guys! It’s Maggie from Maggie’s Doodles! Thanks for checking out my guest post today 😄 Amber has such an amazing blog! If you’re not already following her, please do, you won’t regret it! 💕💕

I thought it would be SUPER fun to share my doodle story with you today! From my doodle-y beginnings 😎😂 to present day projects, we’re gonna take a look at the history of my doodling! (This sounds like a strange documentary… haha)

So, when did I first start doodling? It probably started out with little things like flowers, and dogs, and houses. I don’t have any documents containing “Maggie’s First Doodles” or anything, haha!

I do know that I used to love drawing Lego minifigures, and animals, and little characters for my comic strip! Many of my drawings were renditions of other artists’ work, which helped inspire me and get going creating my own art style. (It takes a while, but it’s VERY exciting and fun!)

Over the years, I was inspired by my favorite artists to make my own drawings! I loved comic books (especially Garfield!), illustrated kids books, and adorable online art (like the kawaii style and other cute doodles).

I thought about the artwork I love seeing other people make, which is primarily cheerful characters, little doodles, and bright colors! That helped me to figure out what I enjoy creating. 🎨

When I shared my very first doodle on Maggie’s Doodles in September 2020, I had no idea it would transform my content into a creative lifestyle blog! 🤩💖 I realized how beautiful it is to share happy, fun little doodles that can make people smile and bring positivity to their day.

What started as a love for fanart became a lifelong project where I enjoy creating happy doodles that offer sunshine in your Reader! ☀️ They complement the rest of my posts, which reflect my many hobbies, interests, and pursuits. I love doing it so much!

That’s it for today! Thanks for having me, Amber – it was a lot of fun to talk about my doodle story with you! 😍

Thanks so much Maggie!! It was so fun to have you on here, sharing about your art! 🖼

Head over to Maggie’s blog (click here) and check it out! Here blog is so much fun to read, and it’s so inspiring! She is also participating in blogmas, which is awesome!! 😃

You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created.‬

Revelation‬ ‭4:11

Do you do any form of art? If so, for how long? I’m so excited for Christmas!! Are you?
