Summer bucket list results part 1

Hello all!

Well, summer is nearly over. Sad, but Autumn is my favorite season, so I’m excited!!

Anyways, today I’m gonna start going through my summer bucket list and see what ones I accomplished!

Go swimming

I actually did go swimming! Although we don’t have a pool, I went over to my friends house a couple times, and swam in their pool! It was so much fun!!

Go to the beach with my family

We didn’t get to go to the beach this summer, but hopefully next year!

Finish learning French

I did not get to finish learning French, though I did work on it a lot! I’ll try my best to continue with it this school year, but we’ll see 😉

Get into a better habit of doing daily devotionals and reading my bible more often

I did accomplish this! I’m reading my bible and doing devotionals more consistently now.

Bake a homemade blackberry pie

I didn’t get to do this one, and i’m so sad! I would have loved to bake a blackberry pie, but the time seemed to just slip away!

Choreograph numerous dances to some favorite worship songs

I did work on this a bit this summer! I still want to continue to work on it this school year though; it takes awhile to finish choreographing a whole dance (for me at least. It’s different for everyone).

Re-learn old choreography that my studio used before I was old enough to actually dance it

Yes, I did get to do this! I re-learned a dance to this song! I re-discovered this song and the choreography to it, when I watched a recital from 2010. I absolutely love this song, and the choreography just goes so well with it. It’s also a song that I feel I can truly dance to purely to worship my Lord and Savior.

Finish my book that I’ve been reading for who knows how long now

Nope. I. Did not. Finish. My. Book. Ughhhh… Where did all the time go?!??

Curl my hair

I didn’t get this one done 😂 I guess I’m never in a situation where I need to curl my hair

Get together with a few friends

I got this one done! I primarily only have a few close friends. And it was for sure nice to get together with them at least once this summer!

Actually go to a Youth Group get together / event

Nope. Still haven’t done this one. But to be fair, my church’s youth group kinda went on hold for the summer sooo…

Improve my artistry for ballet

I think I can say that I (sort of) accomplished this! Why I say sort of is because there will always be room for improvement in regards to artistry and rally anything is ballet 😉

Meet new people at my church

Umm… I mean I now know 2 people’s names that I didn’t know before, but I’d have to say no, i didn’t really get this done (yet).

Go out to coffee with one of my dear friends and pen pals!

Yayyyyy I did this one! except we went out and got Burgurville milkshakes… because we both don’t like coffee 😅 It was so fun to get together with her and chat about life, school, faith, and random stuff!

Go on a bike ride at sunset with my sister

We (me and my sister) haven’t gotten to do this one because one of the tires on her bike had a leak 😕 But once she gets it fixed we’ll go on one haha

Make my mom gluten-free dairy-free blueberry lemon scones

I’m pretty sure I did this one at the beginning of summer! I also just attempted to make her gluten-free dairy-free cinnamon rolls, but they didn’t turn out too well😂

Drive somewhere new to do some photography

Yes! I did get a chance to do this! Me and my friend whom I mentioned before (The one who also doesn’t like coffee lol) went to a super pretty community flower / vegetable garden, and did some photography!

Well, That’s all for today guys! Keep an eye out for part 2!

Did you accomplish any of your summer goals? Do you have any goals for this new school year? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to chat!!

Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

  1. So fun!! I’d love to see the dance you learned! You should take a video of it sometime and send it to me. 😁 It sounds like it’s a really pretty dance.
Tbh it takes me a while to choreograph my own dances as well 😂 I have so many that I want to choreograph but always forget to do.
