How utterly amazing is God? Looking up at the stars, gazing into the heavens, I remember just how powerful the Lord is. He simply spoke, and all of it was created.
And what’s even more amazing is that even with all this power, what does God do with it? He could have wiped away all life, including humans, and animals etc. when the flood came. He could have saved Himself all the anger and sorrow that we cause for Him every day. But He didn’t.
And that is because He is a God of love and of mercy; not an uncaring merciless God.
Furthermore, He longs for a relationship with us. Not just one big collective relationship, but personal, deep, individual relationships with each and every one of us.
He cares about the school that we do, the work we put in each day, what sports we play. Why? Because all of those little things are a part of us! And He cares even more for our eternity.
The only way to be with Him in Heaven, is thought His one and only Son, Jesus Christ.
When Adam and Eve ate the apple from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the garden of Eden, it eternally separated us from God. Not to mention all the pain, suffering, temptation and sin that it brought to this world.
There’s nothing we could ever do to reverse what happened that day, or to make up for it. So how can we spend eternity with the Father, if we are eternally separated from Him? Well that is where Jesus comes in. He died to pay for your sins, and mine. He payed the debt that we never could.
So it is through Him and Him alone that we are healed and have been made clean. He is the way, the truth, and the life. And no one comes to the Father, except through Him.
“And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.”
Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?”
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
John 14:3-6 NKJV
not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,
Titus 3:5 NKJV
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God
Romans 3:23 NKJV
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
Ephesians 2:8 NKJV
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
John 3:16 NKJV
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:38-39 NKJV
So I urge anyone who is reading this, to seriously consider your eternity. It is so important.
