Hey! Welcome or welcome back to my blog! Today I’m gonna be showing you guys some of my art!
Before we get into the actual art, I want you all to know that I am not a professional artist, nor have I taken an art class. I just do it for fun, and to challenge myself in a different way. My most used form of art is my dancing, but I won’t be showcasing that today ๐
Iโm gonna start off with my pencil sketches/drawings! *p.s. my best-yet drawing is gonna be at the end of the post; donโt miss it!*

For this one I traced the base shape and then did the rest free hand. The hardest part for this one was getting the shading right!

This one was fun to do. Again I traced the base outline and then focused on the shading. This drawing is showing when a dancer is stretching her leg up toward the side so that she can work on her flexibility. ๐

Obviously I like to draw dancers lol ๐ But this one was completely freehanded (hence why it’s not proportionally correct haha). I was looking at another drawing photo and decided I’d give it a shot with freehand!
Now I’m gonna move onto my chalk pastel drawings. I haven’t been doing chalk pastels very long, and still have no clue what I’m doing XD That’s ok tho; you learn about new things every day!

This actually has a funny story to it haha. I was bored one day and thought to myself โI wonder if I could successfully follow a Bob Ross painting tutorialโ and then of course I realized I donโt have hardly any acrylic art supplies. So I decided to give it a shot with my chalk pastels. *I have no clue why I thought that would work ๐* So I followed a Bob Ross tutorial, and ended up with this! Not great, but better than I thought it would be!
Now Iโm headed on to some of my watercolor! I really enjoy doing watercolor, especially doing watercolor envelopes! (Which Iโm actually not gonna show you today; Iโll be doing a post specifically on that in the future ๐)

These are some of my favorites to make; theyโre little โtrading cardsโ! Theyโre technically for trading little art cards with people, but I just send them to my pen-pals with the letters!
And now Iโm gonna show you all by far my best drawing!

Lol ok here it is-

I (again) traced the basic outline of her face and then did the rest freehand while looking at the original. The nose was the absolute hardest thing Iโve ever drawn ๐ but I finally got the shading just right and it turned out good!
I want to say thank you to my Heavenly Father for giving us all various gifts, and helping us discover them along this long journey that we all are on, called life! I am continually amazed at where and how the Lord has gifted me and those around me, and I want to use all that He has given me to glorify Him. Everything I have and am is because of Him, and I want to give back to Him as much as possible; weather it be in my giving or giftings.
โEvery good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.โ

Oh Amber! I LOVE your pointe shoe sketches! They’re gorgeous!! (I also think your watercolor sketches are so whimsical and cute! Sketching is my favorite medium, with acrylic a close second. I don’t do watercolor much but I love it when I do!

Ahhh, I’d love to show some of mine! It might be a while before I get around to it, but I’d love to make a post on it! ๐ I agree – one of my mom’s friends who taught a short art course to me and some of my friends is an AMAZING painter – so detailed! ๐ฑ๐คฃ

Yeah, watercolor is a lot easier to cover up any mistakes you make (which is why Iโm starting to enjoy it a lot more lol).

Wow your such a talented artist!!๐
I especially love the ballet pictures. I also really like the watercolor pictures.
I draw a little but if I do art I normally paint. Iโve used acrylic the most but Iโm starting to use watercolor a lot more though. And I have pastels but never use them ๐
