Today I’m going to be interviewing Amber from Dancing For The Holy One! I loved how this post turned out, and I’m excited for you to read it. We chatted all about dance, pointe, blogging, and more. My questions are in bold font and her answers are in regular. All of the photos in this post are from Amber’s photo gallery. Okay, let’s get to the post!

    1. Hey! Yes, I have been on pointe for about 4 years now! (And actually I’m creating a post right now on the reasons I’m taking a break from it lol.)
Anyways, what kind of advice ? I am glad to help you in any way I can!

      1. Whether it hurts or not will widely depend on each person, their foot shape, and the shoes you have! There are a lot of things you can do to prevent it from hurting too much, like taping your toes, wearing a toe cap, and using lambs wool and/or ouch pouches.
In regards to the second question, you just treat your feet how you would normally unless you are talking about treating blisters etc.

      2. Ya! If you have a blister I would suggest putting ointment and a bandaid on it when you wear shoes (any everyday shoes too) and make sure it’s bandaided for pointe as well. If it’s a consistent thing where you get a blister in the exact same spot when you wear your pointe shoes, you might want to go get re-fitted and mention that problem. You may very well have the wrong size or wrong shape pointe shoes 😉

      3. Ah yes that can happen especially if your canvas shoes don’t have a soft inner liner! I use the Bloch stretch canvas flat shoes, and they don’t give me blisters like my other ones did!
