Life update + my photos from May

Hello all!

Well…….. it is officially June. June is always just a crazy time for me; Between finishing up school, graduations to go to etc. it gets really busy!

Also, June is the time our annual recital/performance for ballet is! This year the theme for the younger girls (lower school) is Creation, and for the older girls (upper school) we’re just doing like different sections: Contemporary, Worship, and Classical.

Recital is always one of the busiest times of the year for me, as rehearsals take up 2 weeks, and recital (including dress rehearsals at the location) is another week. in total it’s about 3 weeks of non-stop rehearsals. It would normally be a bit less packed, except that I do the Teacher Training program (my title is a “TA”), which means I have to be at all of the lower school rehearsals, keeping the girls on track and helping with their dance etc.

On top of all that, I am going to my very first week-long, summer intensive this year! It starts the Sunday after the recital, which is crazy. I’ll only have 2 days in between recital, and having to leave, so yeah! I’m stoked about that!

And I’m super excited for the recital this year, because we weren’t able to actually have one last year 😟 (thank you, covid-19!) We are performing in a school gym this year, because no one else would take us! It will be the first time we perform in a gym, so that will be interesting!

So anyways, my June is veeery full!!!!!!!

That’s my little life update/recap for what will be going on in June!

Now let’s get to some of the photos from my May!

This is our cat Daisy incase you haven’t already met her! She’s so adorable, and actually kind of old 😂 she’s 13 or so.
Hehehe this is our other cat, Shadow😂 she is the same age as her sister (Daisy). I snapped this photo at the funniest moment 😆
And here is a slightly better photo of her. She really is just such a cute cat.

As you can see, I love to photograph flowers!! And there are just so many in bloom right now!

because of this month being so crazy (not to also mention that I have to do final testing for school), I might not be posting as much his month. I will try to get some posts written ahead of time this week, so that I will be able to still get posts up! I will hopefully show y’all some photos from my recital and or the summer dance camp I’m going to, sometime next month!!

  1. Your cats are SO CUTE. 😭❤️ I love their colors! They remind me of my cats who passed away a couple years ago. She was sooo old, like fifteen but I adored her. ☺️
You have a pretty blog, Amber and I think it’s so cool that you do ballet! I have absolutely no skill in dancing but I love watching ballet. Good luck in your dancing endeavours! 😊

    1. Our cats are 13 now, so they’re getting pretty old as well. I’m so thankful that we’ve had these cats for so long!

Thank you so much! I absolutely adore dancing, and using it to glorify the Lord. After all, He is the one who gifted me with the ability to dance, and the one who will hopefully use my dancing to bring others closer to Him!☺️

  2. I’m so glad to chance upon your blog! Finding like minded individuals of the same faith and interests! Both my girls are love dancing too though they are really young. It’s amazing that there are Christian based studios around glorifying God through dance for the younger generation!

    1. Hello! I’m also glad to know there are others out there who believe in the One true God, and who are focused on glorifying Him!
That is so wonderful that both your girls are dancing. It really is such a unique experience when you are young to be able to dance! And yes, I am so blessed to be able to attend a studio that puts Christ at the center!
Thanks so much for your comment, Anthea! It made my day! ❤

  3. These are awesome photos! Is your studio Christian? I noticed some of the recital categories seemed Christian-ese. 😂 That’s so wonderful that you’ve got some fun social events coming up, I hope you have a total blast!!
