Random Ramblings #1

Hello! I’ve decided to start a “series” called Random Ramblings! These posts will pretty much just be my random thoughts on various things. I usually write these thoughts down in a notebook or journal, and that way I can save them for when I want to post a Random Ramblings post. These are my personal thoughts and feelings, and I want to share them with you, no matter how scattered it is!

Oh what I’d give to get a taste of Christ’s personality. His voice, so gentle, but at the same time so….stern in a way. When people heard Him speak, they were drawn to Him. They knew He was someone important. They could feel that He had come to teach them things that they couldn’t even begin to understand. He came to bring them wisdom, correction, and the Good News of the Kingdom of Heaven.

He did all of this while being so sensitive and gentle. People felt comfortable with, and wanted to ask Him questions.

And when He looked into their eyes…. they felt lost… but at the same time found. They felt there was someone who knew their pain and sorrows, and He wasn’t afraid to face it head-on with them. They felt loved and accepted, even when they knew they did not deserve it.

They felt scared, but overjoyed that there was someone standing in front of them, who knew them inside and out.

Oh what I’d give to meet this wonderful Savior in person, in the flesh. I feel like I’d understand just a little bit more about all of my questions.

But if I did actually see Jesus, standing right in front of me, I would probably just stand there in awe… too confused and astonished to talk to Him or ask Him anything. Still, getting to physically see Him would truly be a dream come true, even though it’s not necessary in order for me to believe in Him. I know He’s there. I know He’s watching and listening to me. And I know He loves me so much that He gave up His life for me!!

I stare up at the sky, and wonder if He ever shows Himself (physically) to anyone for any reason these days.

There’s so much I don’t understand; so much to learn. I just wish I could learn from Him in person. Right now it’s kind of like having to use zoom calls for meetings, school etc. Distanced learning.

I feel like I’m learning at a distance. It’s still possible, but I hope at some point I won’t have to learn / feel like I’m learning so far away. Maybe if I were just a little bit closer, I would be able to hear Him telling me what He wants me to do with my life, better.

Right now, I’ll just keep my eyes, ears, and heart open so that I might hear Him speak to me. Even just a little wisper!
